Description: Mark Lehner and his team have been discovering the secrets of the Pyramid Builders for more than 20 years. Their findings have challenged many assumptions about the lives of the builders. In addition, Dr. Lehner will discuss his recent discoveries at Khentkawes and the activities of the Luxor Field School. The work has been challenging during the Egyptian Revolution and if time permits he will discuss the current situation in Egypt.

About the Speaker: Mark Lehner is the director of the Giza Plateau Mapping Project and the president of Ancient Egypt Research Associates (AERA). He is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Egyptian Archeology at the Oriental Institute of Chicago and a research associate at the Harvard Semitic Museum. He earned his PhD in Egyptology from Yale University.
