Janet Johnson, Oriental Institute, University of Chicago
In this lecture, Professor Johnson will discuss the political history and introduce some of the major figures of the time. In addition, she will discuss the Aramaic community in Egypt. This lecture is presented in conjunction with the exhibit “Persepolis: Images of an Empire” on view at the Oriental Institute through September 11, 2016.

This list aims to help art and heritage professionals and law enforcement officials identify Egyptian objects that are protected by national and international legislations.
