The Dar al Watha'iq forms are provided here as a courtesy to scholars interested in conducting research at the National Archives. Clearance requires 3-5 months, so plan ahead. If you are awarded an ARCE fellowship and plan to conduct research at Dar al Watha'iq, you will need to submit this form along with the documentation requested on the form. ARCE will submit your clearance letter in lieu of a letter from your university as per the requirements.
