Public lectures* by specialists in the study of Egypt and the Middle
East are held weekly during the academic year on Wednesday evenings,
beginning at 6:00 pm in the Center’s grand salon. The lectures are open
to all visitors. *Please note that
lectures are not scheduled during Ramadan.
THE MARILYN M. AND WILLIAM KELLY SIMPSON LIBRARY
ARCE's Marilyn M. and
William Kelly Simpson Library contains more than twenty-five thousand
volumes, and is open to ARCE members and visiting scholars. Please visit

HOUSING
ARCE can assist members in finding discounted prices at the Shepheard and Semiramis Hotels. They are both in close proximity to Tahrir Square and the US Embassy, and are able to offer security and dining services. GERALD L. VINCENT LOUNGE
A small
lounge, adjacent to ARCE's grand salon, offers a quiet and comfortable
space for st'udy and relaxation. A PC, equipped with standard word
processing and spreadsheet programs and internet access, is available to
ARCE fellows and members.
