The Digital Karnak Project is pleased to announce the launch of its website: http://dlib.etc.ucla.edu/projects/Karnak/. The Digital Karnak Project, based at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), aims to make the ancient Egyptian site of Karnak more accessible to students and instructors in the English-speaking world.

The American Research Center in Egypt is excited to launch its newly redesigned website, created by award-winning communication design firm Toolbox Studios (www.toolboxstudios.com). The new website offers members, supporters, and the general public a dynamic, informative and highly accessible new way to engage with ARCE.
ARCE is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $1 million matching grant from the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation of Southfield, Michigan. The grant is specifically meant to strengthen ARCE’s operating endowment and build institutional capacity.

An extensive article about ARCE's successful Egyptian Museum Registrar Training Project, authored by ARCE Assistant Director for U.S. Operations Rachel Mauldin, was published in the Spring 2008 Condition Report of the Registrars Committee of the American Association of Museums (RC-AAM).
ARCE's 59th annual meeting in Seattle garnered considerable local media coverage. An article about ARCE and the conference, featuring interviews with Dr. Benson Harer, Dr. Shaun Lopez and ARCE Director Dr. Gerry Scott, ran on the front page of the local news section in the Seattle Times.
