ARCE President Interviewed in Chicago Tribune

ARCE President Emily Teeter is interviewed in the June 21 edition of the Chicago Tribune. The story centers around the recent facial reconstruction of the mummy of Meresamun by two forensic artists.

The 3,000-year-old mummy of Egyptian temple singer Meresamun is the star of a new exhibit at the Oriental Institute, "The Life of Meresamun: A Temple Singer in Ancient Egypt," on display until December 6, 2009. Dr. Teeter curated the exhibit, and in the Tribune article she discusses the process and decisions involved in commissioning striking new facial reconstructions of the mummy.
