ARCE's Talatat Project in the Spotlight
ARCE's project to document and conserve 16,000 talatat blocks at Karnak Temple is featured today in an article on Heritage-Key.com. The small sandstone blocks, many beautifully carved and painted, were produced during the reign of Akhenaten (c. 1352-1336 BC) and then used as stabilizing fill inside later Karnak pylons.
