  • From approximately 08:30 AM US CDT to 5:00 PM US CDT Friday and Saturday, and 08:30 AM US CDT to 1:15 US CDT on Sunday.  

ARCE Virtual Annual Meeting

May 20-22, 2023

  • From approximately 9:00 AM US ET to 6:00 PM US ET.


  • ARCE's Annual Meeting brings together hundreds of scholars who present on Egyptian history and heritage, recent fieldwork, technological advances, and much more. 
  • Submissions for the ARCE Annual Meeting must be received through ARCE's All Academic site by December 16th, 2022. Find the Call for Papers guidelines HERE.
  • Paper presenters must choose between presenting in person or virtually at the time of submission. Due to the dual nature of the conference, schedule changes cannot be accommodated. In emergency situations, presenters may submit a written request to change their selection by emailing  
  • Poster, Panels, Best Student Paper and Poster Competition proposals are only accepted for the in-person component.

  • We remind and encourage submitters to apply to participate in a panel during the in-person meeting. Please read the panel submission guidelines HERE.

  • Changes to the schedule are possible depending on the final number of accepted submissions.

The American Research Center in Egypt reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by ARCE, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. ARCE may use the photograph/video online or in print media produced, used, or contracted by ARCE including but not limited to brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.

To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject.

A person attending an ARCE event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer and the event organizers or contact ARCE at in writing of their intentions and include a photograph. ARCE will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.

By participating in an ARCE event or by failing to notify ARCE in writing of your desire to not have your photograph used by ARCE, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless, and indemnify ARCE from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.

Any person or organization not affiliated with ARCE may not use, copy, alter, or modify ARCE photographs, graphics, videography, or other similar reproductions and recordings without the advance written permission of an authorized representative from ARCE.
