ARCE's Annual Meeting brings together hundreds of scholars who present on Egyptian history and heritage, recent fieldwork, technological advances, and much more.

For 2023, ARCE will continue to host a dual access Annual Meeting consisting of both an in-person meeting and live-virtual meeting held on two separate weekends, with each portion featuring new content. 

ARCE In-Person Annual Meeting

April 21-23, 2023, Minneapolis Marriott City Center 30 S 7th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402

  • While the schedule is still being finalized, sessions, and events will be held from approximately 08:30 AM US CDT to 5:00 PM US CDT on Friday and Saturday April 21-22, and 08:30 AM US CDT to 1:15 US CDT on Sunday April 23.  

ARCE Virtual Annual Meeting

May 20-22, 2023, via Web Platform

  • While the schedule is still being finalized, sessions, and events will be held from approximately 9:00 AM US EDT to 6:00 PM US EDT from Friday to Sunday on May 20-22.

Both in-person and virtual registrants will have access to the recorded lectures from the in-person Annual Meeting (as allowed by presenters) and Virtual Annual Meeting via our web platform. Detailed information about the platform and access information to the virtual component and recordings will be forthcoming.

COVID Information

ARCE is committed to following all CDC and local health guidance. Currently, we are not requiring proof of vaccination to attend.

Our host hotel is the Minneapolis Marriott City Center in Minneapolis, MN. The airport code for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is MSP, and travel between the airport and the hotel is easy and inexpensive using the light rail (our stop is Nicollet on the Blue Line, which is nonstop from MSP, costs about $2, takes 25 minutes and is a 4-minute easy walk to the hotel from the light rail stop Nicollet-- click here for details on transportation to/from the airport.

Student Members and Early Career Scholars (<5 years within the academic workforce) who are ARCE members, may apply for a fee waiver to attend the virtual portion of the Annual Meeting free of charge.

To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject.

A person attending an ARCE event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer and the event organizers or contact ARCE at in writing of their intentions and include a photograph. ARCE will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.

By participating in an ARCE event or by failing to notify ARCE in writing of your desire to not have your photograph used by ARCE, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless, and indemnify ARCE from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.

Any person or organization not affiliated with ARCE may not use, copy, alter, or modify ARCE photographs, graphics, videography, or other similar reproductions and recordings without the advance written permission of an authorized representative from ARCE.
