Djodi Deutsch has served as ARCE’s Academic Programs Manager since 2007. In this position, she designs and develops new academic program opportunities for American and Egyptian research scholars and administers ARCE’s foundational fellowship program. Deutsch brings to this role decades of management experience with international education, exchange and outreach programs for students and scholars from elementary school through university. Prior to joining ARCE, she led publication departments on several USAID/Egypt projects, headed outreach and programming operations for the Mediterranean Center for Sustainable Development, served as the headquarters Desk Officer for Peace Corps, Africa Region, and directed non-traditional Peace Corps programs in Rwanda and Sudan. Deutsch credits her creative flair to her background in textile design and her ability to channel her creativity into innovative programming to her master’s degree in International Administration.
