Join us for a virtual tour as we uncover the museum’s remarkable story, delving into its architectural integrity and innovative display concepts that breathe life into centuries-old artifacts.

    Speaker Bio

    Mary Missak Kupelian, an Egyptian Armenian world renown heritage expert for over 25 years. She specializes in Coptic Studies, Museology, Cultural Heritage preservation, community engagement and sustainable tourism. She has been a Professor at Helwan University, Egypt since 1998. She’s an accomplished author. She is the Secretary General of ICOM Egypt. She has been a board member at several prestigious governmental and non-governmental organization such as the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Coptic Museum and NEHRA (National Egyptian Heritage Association). Recently joined the editorial board of the ECA (Eastern Cristian Art ). She has been functioning as the pivotal liaison personnel for several exhibitions, educational and capacity building programs. She coordinated several global projects of collaborations between countries and institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum, Bode Museum of Berlin, Neues Museum and others in Germany, US and Armenia. She was awarded honor shield by the Kulturabteilung und Studienmission, Botschaft der Arabischen Republik Ägypten, Berlin and a prize by Helwan University for the best Doctoral Dissertation “A Comparative Study of the New Testament Scenes in the Coptic Monastic Churches ” in Social Sciences for the year 2012/2013.

    ARCE Student Members and Early Career Scholars (<5 years within the academic workforce) may apply for a fee waiver to attend the virtual portion of the meeting free of charge.

    Refunds are available for the in-person meeting only, minus a $75 administrative fee until April 3, 2024. In order to request a refund of your in-person registration fee, please contact us at AMhelp@arce.org All refunds will be processed after the meeting.

A person attending an ARCE event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer and the event organizers or contact ARCE at info@arce.org in writing of their intentions and include a photograph. ARCE will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.

By participating in an ARCE event or by failing to notify ARCE in writing of your desire to not have your photograph used by ARCE, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless, and indemnify ARCE from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.

Any person or organization not affiliated with ARCE may not use, copy, alter, or modify ARCE photographs, graphics, videography, or other similar reproductions and recordings without the advance written permission of an authorized representative from ARCE.
